I just tried like 15 MPG's and for some reason it crashes it. I've send 7 error reports to microsoft so far. This is pissing me off royally.

If anyone here has an alternative to this or anything please post it till those idiots at Microsoft can fix this or if there is a fix already and you know about it please tell us/me

UPDATE: After fooling around with it I've discovered one of hte codec's that is in Nimo will cause an error when trying to play an MPEG.

I'm not 100% sure which codec will cause the error so install at your own risk.

You are aware that the latest version of windows media player is a beta version and as such cannot be considerate stable.

    No duh I know it's a beta.

This is just a warning to those that might download it before all the bugs are fixed and such.

i have it and i have not had one problem in 2 weeks, even plays my svcd's on my cd-writer. media player, any version, must be installed before you install any other codec, codec pack or program that installs with it's own codec. when i reinstalled windows last, i do this regularly once or twice a month, i installed in this order: media 9, powerdvd, nimopack, xvid. then i install my dvd2svcd, vidomi, etc.

Beta invariably means that there are still bugs in it. So why be so surprised when you come across them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

companies that distribute betas, are usally companies with the best customer support. one example is TMPGEnc. how many versions do they let out in a year. they just throw something together and let us "beta test" it accept we have to pay for it. betas have no more bugs than any other software release, but you can be sure that a beta will either work now or definitely work on the final.

    Exactly.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
