  1. It there any way to increase volume of sound in mpeg2 (svcd, vbr) file ? I am making SVCDs from music videos and from time to time it happens, that one clip is more silent than the others. If it is possible in AVI, you can tell me about it too, however the avi's of mentioned mpeg's are already gone, so mpeg solution will be welcomed more. Thanks.

  2. I believe you can adjust volume levels in TMPGEnc while encoding.

  3. It's too late, the AVIs are already deleted. What about demultiplex mpeg to video + audio, then doing something with audio (but how and where ?) and multiplex back ?

    You're on the right track!
    Demux the MPEG, load it up in Goldwave or any other audio app. Here, you can either maximize the volume (In Goldwave under Effects->Volume) and save it as wav, or just save it as wav and run it thru a normalizer. Then reencode the wav with tooLame and remux the audio and video streams again.
