  1. How do I convert mpeg2 files to svcd using CCE? I know there must be some other programs I have to use before using CCE. I read how to convert avi to svcd using CCE, but I still can't figure out how to convert MPEG2 to SVCD using CCE. I used to use TmpgEnc to do this but now I prefer using CCE since TmpgEnc yields too much blocky noise. Can anyone help, please.

I think you misunderstand something. "Convert mpeg2 file to SVCD with CCD", In fact mpeg2 and SVCD are the same in general. When we say mpeg2 we mean files in computer and SVCD we mean DISC (SuperVideCD) which is burn from mpeg2 files. I might not explain clear enough but some gurus here will.

Probably you want to transcode a non-compliant to a svcd compliant MPEG-2.
I recommend to frameserve with dvd2avi and Avisynth to cce. Instead of Avisynth you can use an other video editor / frameserver, e.g. VirtualDub/VFAPI or Aviutl/VFAPI.
Have a look at the "how to rip a dvd" section for more information about dvd2avi, "how to convert" (frameserve) and "how to edit" (editors).

When I said MPEG2, I meant the mpeg2 files that I captured from a ATI TV tuner. I need to convert them to standard svcd format so I can burn them on to a CD.
