    I have a few AVI files that I want to convert to MPEG so I can watch them. Currently I can get audio but no video.

    If you cannot see the video you have a codec missing, you dont need to convert them to anything to watch them.


    You can convert from AVI to Mpeg 1 with TMPGEnc, then they can be put on a VCD to play in your DVD player.
