  1. Hi>
If someone could help me I would be greatful....
the problem I have is that the two mpegs converted by tmpgenc works great when watching it in powerdvd but when I try to burn it with neroburn it says it has to re-encode to meet the standards...thats fine it does it. After the successful burn I pop it in my dvd player and the audio is choppy....freezes.....falls further behind the video with every freeze!!!! If there is a way to fix this problem could someone please get back to me thanx!!

When you converted it in TMPGEnc you did not convert it to a fully compliant VCD. To do this you should have loaded a VCD template, PAL or NTSC. Then Nero would not need to fix the problem.

Nero makes a right mess of the conversion, so make sure you get it right in TMPGEnc

Make a note of the error that Nero returns. It should report whether or not the problem is with the audio, or the video. To make a compliant VCD, your audio must be 44.1KHz, and your video must be 352x240. If either of these isn't right, nero will offer to correct it for you, but you'll get substandard encoding for it. Take your project back to TMPeg, and fix it there.

If your project is for SVCD, then the audio should still be 44.1KHz, but the resolution should be 480x480, or optionally CVD resolution if your DVD Player supports it, which is 352x480.

Be sure to use the VCD templates in tmpgenc, the pal or ntsc or ntscfilm.
