    I'm trying to convert the 2nd half of a 600mb .asf file to mpg?

    Has anyone had any success extracting parts of a large file this way?

    I've been able to get the first half but when I use the project wizzard and set the start position at half way through, it locks up.

    any ideas?

    I tryed to encode Sex Commandos 2 that was an ASF file and it managed to get about 15 minutes into it and then it just froze.

    I also tryed to cut the file up and do it in pieces but that didnt work either.

    so I dont know , but I look forward to someone answering you so I will know
