No video after converting in TMPGEnc

Im a vcd virgin and I am trying to get my an .avi (it says [smr] in front of the file name) I thought I read something about smr. Anyways, its an .avi file and when I load it into TMPGEnc and covert it, (20 fps video source) I get audio out but no video. I've read the guides and theres no troubleshoot for this. I have all the codec's it told me to download, and I still dont know whats wrong.

ok try this
>option>environmental settings>vfapi plug in
ok now where it says direct show multi media that needs to have a priority of 4, right click and put higher priority and repeat until it says four now try. email me a thanx if it works it did for me
