    Hi,

I encoded a SVCD in TMPEnc Plus 2.56 and it completed successfully.
However, when I tried to cut it using the merge and cut function in
the program, it gave me a direct show error.
I could not open the file nor edit it at all.

I tried to install PowerDVD 4.0 but it did not help.
I also set the Direct Show priority to 4 but I still get the same result.

    Appreciate some good advice.

    I'm using Windows XP Pro.

  2. I have never been able to get TMPGE to edit its own SVCD's. I'm usuing WIN98 so its not an OS problem. If they come out to big I just remake them again smaller. No problem with VCD. Hopefully someone will have the solution.

Maybe you set directshow Multimedia plugin too high..try to decrease priority to 1 or -1.

Try another version of TMPGEnc. 2.58 is out Although 2.56 should also do the job, I use it all the time to covert SVCD to VCD and merge&cut works fine with any Mpeg 2 it makes...

"I tried to install PowerDVD 4.0" did you or did you not ? Other mpeg 2 codecs can cause a problem (Nimo)
