  1. hi !! Just wanted to ask something about converting an avi to mpg. I downloaded a movie, the quality of which was fine but then converting to mpg and watching on a large widescreen tv the quality isn't so good, it seemed a little blocky and wasn't running smoothly. I used Tmpge to convert and it converted it to an mpg with a resolution of 352x288 or something like that.

    Is there anyway i can improve the quality when converting to mpg.
    any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. If the original avi is good quality, then you could try converting to Mpg-2 and burn as a SVCD (if your DVD player will play them), cause the resolutions alot higher.
