All of sudden Tmpeg refuses to open .mpg files. I'm getting the standard unsupported file notice. I've restore the windows registry, unintalled any program that might be causing it,I even re-intalled windows. Still can't open .mpg files. Help!

What's really odd is I have four versions of Tmpeg.2.52,2.54,2.55,and 2.57. 2.57 will open .mpg, the other three won't . The mpeg2 has expired on 2.57,but the other three have no expiration. Why does one work but not the other three?

Different versions need different codec's, The new TMPGEnc Plus 2.58 requires a codec that may be supplied by Power DVD 4, while free versions work for 30 days with Nimo codec's.

Don't download Power DVD 4, or TMPGEnc from Kazaa, go out and buy them

    KJ Codec pack, may help
