  1. Ive just downlaoded a movie which is 75 mins long in m-peg format. The movie freezes after 20 seconds on windows Media Player. I burnt it directley on to VCD with VCD easy but it only burns (and recognises) 38 mins of the movie. Ive gone through the movie in Virtual dub and it's all there?
any suggestions on how to fix this mepeg?

    Mpeg ? Mpeg what ?

Mpeg 1, TMPGEnc Merge&Cut use "MPEG 1 Video CD" in drop down list, don't use source range, just click Run.

This will stream through the movie, and if it finds a fault will stop streaming. You can try also setting the range just after the problem for the second half.

Vdub can load mpeg 1, and can scan for junk frames, but it would save out as AVI, so you may need to re-encode the movie in TMPGEnc and hope it gets past the bad spot.

Mpeg 4, use Vdub scan for junk frames.
