    Is there any software to find out whether a video is interlaced or not?

    Tmpg usually guesses right when loading it using the wizard. It depends on the source, most PC stuff can be assumed to be progrssive (ie not interlaced) but if it is captured then who knows, usually is but then it depends on the compressor etc.
