Hi! I'm having a strange problem with a VCD that i made using VCDEasy:
I loaded the mpg file, added the entrypoints for each chapter and burned the BIN image without problems...but when I'm playing the VCD on my DVD player the chapters are giving me this problem:
I can watch the movie perfectly from start to end if I don't skip chapters during it, but when I try to skip a chapter or go to someone with a number button...the movie goes out of synch, the strangest thing about it is that once the audio is out of synch I can make it to synch again if I FF for a second...then it plays normaly again.
I have no idea if it is a DVD Player problem or I'm doing something wrong with VCDEasy... I have some commercial VCD's with chapters that play perfect on it so I supose it's not a DVD Player problem... (Bluesky 2210s)
Thank you very much!

I've read all the guides and you can't find any kind of troubleshooting for this problem there... and I've done some searches in this forums with the keywords "chapters" and "VCDEasy".... and I've not found any help...
I know how this forum works so I've decided to post the question tired of a whole day searching an answer on various forums and burning more than 7 VCD's without success....
so please, again... if anybody can help me I'll be very happy
Thank you very much again -
Well, try to answer the responses that some people do give you.
Is your VCD entirely standard? Did you make an XVCD of any sort? What did you encode with, what method, settings?

I don't know if it's standart or not since a friend of mine send it to me, but I guess it is...this is the info about the mpg that I've been able to find...
Mpeg 1 System File [Video/Audio]
Muxrate : 1.41 Mbps
Estimated Duration: 54:05.17s
Size [352 x 288] 25.00 fps 1.15 Mbps
Audio : Mpeg 1 layer 2
224 kbps 44100 Hz
Stereo, No emphasis
The thing is that is very strange that when you FF for a second the audio synchs again and it does not go out of synch untill you skip chapter...
is this a known problem of VCDEasy? -
No, but it is a known problem of some stand-alone DVD players.
Sometimes, it has to do with how the MPEG file is multiplexed....

have you ever tried to re-multiplex your file in TMPGEnc? if not, you can try that and see if it works? I would choose format MPEG-1 VideoCD (non-standard) just in case.
Oh and sorry if my signature bothered you, it's just the way to remind newcomer about search button and all the guides in this forum. -
just a follow up on ya_jai's post:
I agree with him on remultiplexing the file, but the tool I recommend for doing the mutilplexing is bbMPEG. Go ahead and demultiplex it with TMPGEnc and then proccess it bbMPEG. I've been a lot happier with the end result going this way since I found this handy little tool. You can find a how-to guide here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm
