  1. I use My Dvd, I have never messed with DVD burning before. I need help fitting some of the DVDs i have downloaded into a DVD+RW disk. The movie itself is only 700 MB or so, but when I add it to my project it ends up being about 6 GB which is way too much for a DVD+RW CD. Any help would be appreciated, Thank You!

why burn it on a dvd+rw disk ? does it even work in your player ?

it sounds like you have a divx or xvid that you want to convert to dvd-r specs ..

there is a guide for that on the left .. lower your bit rate till you get 4.3gigs

I was trying to transfer a 104 minute VHS tape to a DVD and got the same problem with the eventual file size being in excess of 5GB. I eventually realised that the only way to get this done is to capture at the "Good" setting in MyDVD. The "Good" setting uses about 15MB per minute, the "Better" setting 29MB per minute and the "Best" setting uses 59MB per minute. At the "Best" setting you will only get 60 minutes maximum recording on a 4.7 GB DVD.

  4. Do not use MYDVD: it wastes a lot of MB because of audio reasons. Try to use Ulead Movie Factory (even if it has some limitations: not true chapters).
