  4. DVDMF has a problem with files larger then 4gb so if you rerender or cut it to about 3.8gb it should work.

Does anyone know of an authoring program that will let me use the full 4.2 gig it seems like such a waste of space to only use 3.8 g when u could have up to 4.3 gig on the dvd-r disk, I think DVD work shop has the same problem because it opens nearly all the film but chops of the last 20 mins or so, i Guess that will only allow 3.8 aswell ?

  7. Smurfpacker. Maestro is a VERY powerful authoring program with a relatively easy learning curve.

  9. SpruceUp is the easiest and I think one of the best, unless you go with the really high end ones like scenarist or maestro. It's definitely the one to start with and learn. It's not sold anymore, but there is a demo on the web and a key generator can be found around if you look in the right places

smurf- i had the same problem with ulead, it only recognized the first 2 minutes of a 4gig copy if men in black that i made. nothing i did helped, i demultiplexed and re-multiplexed and nothing, so I ended up using another piece of software for that one movie (maestro) but i haver to say, my favorite by far is still ulead for its simplicity.

I like Sonic ReelDVD for its perfect results, great functionality and the best compatibility with different players.

Spuce is good it recognised the whole file no prob and made a good movie, the only thing is it reconized my writer ( pioneer A04 ) , but wouldn,t let me write to it and i had to use nero to burn the title set, its ok but a bit jerky when the camera pans from left to right or vise versa but im not sure if it my conversion, but it doesn't do it when i play it on the pc only on my wharfdale stand alone player.
