  1. Fairly new to all this business and was having problems with a couple of damaged AVI files, was told about VirtualDub, D/L it and played about with it for many hours today but can't find out how you print out the error log to show at which frames have errors, everytime I "scan video stream for errors" I get an error message at the end of it
Internal Error MMX state left on: T:\projects\VirtualDub_old\main\VideoSource.cpp:11 01,
which the offical website says is just a misleading error???
Have tried going through manually and editing the damaged frames but just when I think its working and its half way through processing, I get another error message, "OutputAVI parameter incorrect" sheeesh!
Thx in advance for any help I may receive.

i have racked up quite a few movies where i get this error message. they are a pain in the ass to do this way but: open your file in vdub. press the "scan forward" button(it will only go to the next scene change). keep pressing it until you get a bad frame. then you press "key previous" button. then "mark in" button. then "key next" button. then "edit" from the drop down, and select "mask selected frames" now the bad frames should be fixed. do this through your whole avi. oh yeah make sure under "video" you select full processing before you start. once you are done then "video" and "audio" select "direct stream copy" and save out your avi.

i did this today for one movie. it worked, but took a long long long time.

    good luck!
