  1. What exactly is an xvcd, do they play in dvd players and are they better quality than svcd?

    XVCD means you made a non compliant VCD, chances are they wont play in your player !!.

    You need to test to see if they will play. Normally used to cram 400 minuets onto a 80 minuet disk No the quality is not as good if you put 2 disks full onto 1.
