When i try to convert some of my avi files to mpeg1 or mpeg2 the sound is way out of sync. I use TMPGEnc and why i try to convert it says "streaming error" or something close to that, but if i save the sound as a wav first on virtual dub it works but the sound is way out of sync. Can this be helped?

Convert the wav you saved with virtualdub to a real wav first with winamp.
Now, is the length of this wav the same as the video? If not try correcting it in virtualdub with the interleaving (use wav as audio) and save when you have the audio and video correct again. Don't compress the audio and set the video to direct stream copy. You shouldn now be able to get a good sync.
If the length of the wav is the same as the video then just use the wav as source for the audio.
