Desperately need help

I am hoping someone can help me out please.

I have downloaded dvd2svcd 1.0.9 bundle 3, cce, divx 3.11 alpha codec, and i also have a copy of nero 5.5.9.0.

When i start the conversion process with dvd2svcd, i get an error at the end of besweet but it does finish audio encoding, and then when it starts the video encoding i get an "read beyond end of file" error.

I have tried using tmpgenc which did do the conversion for me and i burnt it with nero, but when i put it in my dvd player it didnt work, i got nothing.

Could someone please help

First are you sure that your Dvd Player will play SVCD's??.

duh! silly me

I had a look and it only plays vcd. I was following the advice from another forum user who was unaware that my dvd only plays vcd. I am only new to burning movies so i am trying to find the easiest software or guide to use until i become aquainted with the process.
