I have just started playing with this app because I have heard it is the only one that can cut VBR MPEG-2 accurately. I don't really need this feature right now...but who knows? Anywho...loaded a few of my CVD samples and encodes-no problem...but...

I recently got my hands on the PAL DVD rips of a certain Speilbergian/Zemekian Sci-Fi trilogy that is still unreleased in the US... but anyway, when I load these PAL SVCD files I get nasty green blocks and M2 Edit Pro telling me I have a VCD file with SVCD header information...and it is otherwise not happy with me...

Has anyone else had a problem with M2 Edit and PAL streams??? I can't belive this is the case...

  2. I don't know about PAL DVD's but I have never been able to use my M2 Edit Pro with MPEG2 files that have fps different than 29.97

use the older version of m2 edit pro ... it accually can handle different bit rates much better ...

but all in all m2 edit is not the most stable (or good) program around for some operations ..

but it does work pretty good for cutting but for joining i generally would end up w/ a corrupted mpeg
