Dropped frames at start of capture

Hi

My system is:

AMD Athlon XP 2100+
Asus Motherboard with VIA chipset
ATI AIW 128 Pro
Creative SoundBlaster Live Value

The problem I get is that when I start a capture, droped frames start at 19 % and then drops to <1 % after about 45 seconds.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so do they know how to solve it ?

My hunch is that it is to do with the sound card

I was right, it was the sound card ! Changed to Audigy - No more problems
