  1. I am trying to rip a dvd that has both the normal, and directors cut of the movie on one disk, have tried using smartripper, claddvd and dvd decrypter but they cannot find one whole movie stream....it tends to start about 10 mins in. Not sure if theres a way around this, but if anyone knows i'd be grateful for their input.

    Cheers

    HaRpEr.

  2. Well, i can at last answer this myself....the DVD in question was Robocop from the Trilogy boxed set. I had to use DVD Decrypter to rip by cell id and then check every cell until i found the correct ones for the Directors cut and match them up so they were in the right order, once renamed they loaded into dvd2avi and was able to encode to SVCD using CCE.

Hopefully this will help anyone who was stuck with the same problem.

  3. easier way would be to rip the movie "as is"..

smartripper in file mode (make sure you rip the ifo file too) or dvddecryptor WITHOUT multi-angle processing...

then, u can load the vobs into flask and select the movie stream you want (theatrical or directors cut)...then you can frameserve flask into tmpgenc using avisynth

HaRpEr, did you enable multi-angle processing in dvddecryptor? if you did, it should've only ripped one of the streams for you...

when i ripped movies with more than 1 version (i.e. ID4 and T2), smartripper's movie mode and dvddecryptor w/ multi-angle processing enabled both ripped the director's cut, not the theatrical version...which was a surprise for me
