I've just re-n-coded a a movie using the VCD/SVCD calculator form this site using the DVD option in that to get my Birate.

I used Tmpegnc 2 pass VBR and the final conversion has ended up at 4.13GB Mpeg 2 NTSC/DVD.

What i want to know is will this fit onto a Standard 4.7 DVD-r ???

I suggest that you check this link to find why i had to re-n-code the movie

  3. As long as you use an authoring proggy that does not forcefully re-encode the audio to uncompressed PCM format (which MyDvd does!)

Yes i did give the length of the movie as well as the audio at 384kbps.

The reason i ask was because if i had used the Project wizard and the DVD template in that i know for a fact that birate would have been far less than what i got when i used the VCD calculator, and the birate i got when i used the calculator, the template would have warned me that it would have fit onto a DVD-r.
