Since I couldn't find it in any of the guides, here is my question...
I want to rip some of my DVD's to SVCD. I have done some testing, and with single pass encoding, it took around 3.5 hours. I know that multipass is supposed to help out the quality, but sometimes I am under time constraints. So,
Does second pass (and more) take the same amount of time to process as first pass? I would hate for a 4-pass encoding to take me 14 hours =\
TIA for the help.

Each additional pass will take roughly as long as the first pass does. So if it takes you 3.5hrs to do 1 pass than yes 4 passes will take roughly 14hrs.
