This thing is crazy slow at ripping!![]()
I set it as my master drive and my cd-writer as slave. The DVR-104 was automatically set to UltraDMA Mode 2 and my Cd-Writer was set to DMA.
Anyways, it took me about 35 minutes to rip a single layer DVD in ISO mode with DVD Decrypter. It was hitting speeds between 1x and 6x. Is this normal or can it be set to a faster speed? Unfortunately i don't have an extra DVD-Rom drive.![]()
I also wanted to ask...When i rip a DVD in ISO mode with DVD Decryptor and it is under the 4.38GB mark, i can just burn the final ISO file as an image in NERO or DVD Decrypter itself right?
Appreciate it-M

Hey, sorry to make 2 posts outta this topic, but i just thought of something else.
Okay, well my burner also came with a recording program called B's Recoder Gold. I was wondering if this burning software is any good? Cause i haven't seen anything spoken about it on these forums.
Also, i have a few authoring programs such as DVDit! PE, SpruceUp,DVD Quick Builder and now my burner came with Sonic MyDVD.
Is there one that is better than the other or is it all on preference?
Thanx again -
I got a Pioneer 104 also. That came with my dvd etc. I am using dvdit Pe 2.5 i have had nothing but great luck. I do make DvD's outa it but im still trying to find a way to add 3 and or 4 vcd's on one dvdr even with the 4.38gig disk using dvdit. I get 2 no problem but im lookng for something better also. Ripping and converting one dvd is a piece of cake but I really dont think theres nothing out there as far as software thet i have used so far. Unless theres something else i dont know about im willing to try it. I have used spruce up everything made by sonic/dvdit etc mydvd workshop etc. Only thing i see out there is dvdit. I wish there was a prg that converts mpeg to vobb and maintain the size. So untill i find it dvdit seems to be it at the moment.
