  1. I have an mpeg file which is 45 seconds long. It is a voice-over on a PowerPoint video presentation. The file is 9MB.

My guess is that I need to convert to a newer version of MPeg with compression. My understanding is that since it is just a PowerPoint presentation, it should compress significantly below 9MB.

I also want to shrink the file from 480x480 to 200x200 or so.

I am a complete newbie. I have been searching the Internet for hours. I have already tried two products that do not do precisely what I need. I just get more confused with all the Video-Cd-NTSC-PAL etc. terminology/acronyms I do not fully understand. If someone could point me to a URL for a converter to convert this Mpeg file to "a newer Mpg version" with compression and resizing, I would very much appreciate it. A retail product is fine. I'll happily pay for this. I'm just looking to get this done quickly.

I also have this file as a 150MB AVI if there is an AVI to a "newer version of MPEG" converter available that will still play this file with WMP.

This is a one-shot deal for me.

    Thanks.
