I have had a Pioneer DV-434 for about a year and had no problems with it. But recently, when I place a VCD or SVCD disc in it loads up as a CD. I have always used generic cd-r's (Memorex, Circuit City, etc.) but have never had this problem before. DVD, CD, and MP3 playback is all normal, it is just the VCD and SVCD playback that is messed up.
It is not a problem with the encoding or burning, or even the cd-r's. I was just wondering if anyone with one of these players have had this kind of problem before and what I need to do to fix it.
BTW: I have even tried rebooting the player and that doesn't even work. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks
tzoid
