  1. I am new to this and was trying to burn Bandits to SVCD. I'm using the 3 software programs given by dvd copy plus 3.8 which are smartripper, dvdx, and vcdeasy. I really don't like vcd files as the image isn't all that great. Well when I encode an svcd file it puts the files into four sections, which means i have to burn 4 discs. Does it really take four cd-r's to make one movie. The burning program only let's me have about 630 mb's per disk. And they are 700mb discs. I tried lowering the video bit rate which droped the svcd file into 3 discs which wouldn't be so bad. I though I had fixed the problem and when I put it in my apex player the audio was running faster than the video. Is it possible to get a svcd file into 3 vs 4. Maybe different software would be better? I'm not sure.

    Thx,
    Ryan

If making VCD or SVCD you should be able to fit about a 795 MB MPG SVCD file on a 80 min CD because they are burnt in a different mode than ordinary data. What settings are you using in DVDx???

And you should be able to squeeze a movie into 2 svcds if it shorter than 2 hours with good quality.

check this dvdx guide for some basic info

  3. I've been custom sizeing it to be around 630mb. The reason is because for some reason when I try to put any filer bigger than that in my vcd easy the file size goes red and I tried burning it anyways and it would play. It's saying a file of that size is too big. I'm not sure what the deal is. I got bandits which is 2:02 hrs long onto 3 cd-r's by lowering the bit rate on video but when I burned it the audio was way behind the movie.
