hi can some 1 help? iam trying to convert a avi to DVD standard but at 76% it stops and says stram writing error,can any 1 tell me what causes this and how to fix it???

what the source is
what tool you are using


If the source is divx or downloaded avi try to repair it first www.vcdhelp.com/faq#fixdivx

sorry,im useing vdub to rip sound into wav and tmpge to encode it .and source is AVI

I think I just got this error msg yesterday.

First the encoding process stop at 41%, so I tried it again, this time TMPGEnc worked all the way to the end but mpeg2 file got no sound after 41% point (has sound at beginning). So I tried again (stubborn, eh?), but this time I tested encode only part after 41% first and everything work just find nothing goes wrong. Now I got the error msg about "stream writing error".

So I figured it might be something to do with my wav file (from v-dub as well). Then I re-export wave file again but this time I didn't do anything with computer while v-dub exporting wave and I spare plenty of space for it. After new wave file input, now TMPGEnc run without a problem and I got a new movie to watch on my player.

The movie is Godfater CD2disc2 download from Kazaa.
