I bought DVD Picture Show from Ulead, but for reasons unknown the VCDs I burn will interrupt roundabout 1/3 of the playtime on my Samsung SV-DVD1E. Ulead support team concluded I have a non-supported burner, although My Philips 4401 is in the compatibility list.
The show on the TV interrupts and a screen appears for a little while saying something about VCD 1.1, although I burn the VCD in 2.0.
Same happens if I use a PC application but also if I change the burner, I tried a Traxdata as well.

The application is of course patched and the CDs used are good quality.

Has anybody an explanation for this and maybe some cure?

Is there an alternative application that can make slide shows VCDs as Ulead DVD PS?
    Thank you

  2. On the DVD player (assuming settop and not computer DVD), Make sure that the PBC (PlayBack Control) option is ON. You will see this option mentioned in the DVD user manual. It has to be ON to play slide show VCDs.

    Otherwise, check out http://www.xat.com
and download the demo of XATShow.
