  1. hi, i recently downloaded a movie and was trying to convert it into an mpg so i can watch it on my dvd player. I have panasonic mpeg encoder but when i try and open the avi movie file it says "no codec exists" for it.

    I have divx player and codec too.

    can anyone help me out.

    Try TMPGEnc instead of Panasonic, if it's a VCD you're trying to create.
    My experience with Panasonic is: Slow and sync problems galore.

    Most of the problems are missing codec's. Download and install the Nimo codec pack
