Hello people,
just wondering if you could help me out on this before I have to bring my 2 months old Philips MX1060D to the tech center.
Last night before watching a dvd I entered the player setup to configure language and subtitles. I assume I must have entered into some strange key combination from the remote, but fact is that after then I couldn't listen anymore for the spoken dialogue, while soundtrack was still okay.
For the little a know about audio systems, the spoken dialogue comes from the central channel, so I went back to the audio setup to check for audio levels on the 5+1 channels, but when the auto test bumped on the central channel, I effectively realized that nothing was coming out, though the level was the same as the others, i.e. 10 dB.
First thing I did was obviously to test another speaker on the same out, but yet I couldn't get the audio out from that, so I came to the conclusion that either the hardware is physically damaged or most probable I did something with the remote that resulted in the problem.
Moreover, I have the same behaviour using the tv set audio instead of the dvd player speakers.
Has anyone ever had similar problem? A search on the internet didn't point me to any other useful info except a couple of sites, one of which is this one here...
Thanks in advance,
;-Dario
