    Hi
    I have an AverTV studio card so it captures direct to mpeg 1 or 2.
    I have both these programs installed and really cant see any difference between them. Can anyone recommend one over the other and tell me why please.

    I have used WinDVR2, and it's pretty good. Older versions required a lot of post processing to make a VCD ready mpeg file, but the 2.0 version makes ready to burn vcd mpegs on the fly.

    The picture quality is pretty good for real-time mpeg-1 capture too.

    I can't compare to the other app since I haven't used a recent version.
