Hey, I checked out the sites listed above out of curiosity also. I don't know if that was wrong or not but I figured that if I was going to state some opinions about something, I should at least know what I'm stating them against.

Believe it or not, I really don't have that strong of an opinion about this. I only state what Issues may come up on this topic.

I'm just afraid I'll be checking out these sites and see a picture of my mother. Is there even a catagory for that? Is that voyeurism or incest?

What if a father is checking out one of these sites and comes across a picture of his underaged child? Is that voyeurism, incest, or pedophilia?

Speaking of pedophilia, I haven't heard of any sites for pedophiliacs that use the camera to look at small children but you know they're out there. Scary, isn't it. Some freak is getting off looking at a naked 5 year old. I think I have plenty of concrete shoes that are just their size and a nearby river to test their buoyancy. I don't know what it is...those shoes just don't seem to float so well

  2. Actually in the UK there are no real privacy laws. It's perfectly legal to take pictures or film someone in a public place going about their business and that includes such x-ray shots. Much of UK law is based on court judgements and not legislation, and as yet there has been no test case of this in the UK. So until some woman takes offence and brings a case against an offender it will always be a grey area. The police would probably intervene and confiscate such material but if you went to court, you would undoubtedly get it back. In fact, there was a case a couple of years ago of a guy who was prosecuted for filming up girls skirts. The case was thrown out of court because the guy was filming in a public area and wasn't breaking any laws. Of course, the next case could go the other way and the offence would then become technically illegal but until then...

It is also perfecly legal for you to film or photograph almost anything you want in your own house, even if your perversion was someone on the loo (course, don't expect that person to be your friend for long and you could find yourself without any mates down the pub too when she tells everyone). Businesses have to advise when there are cameras around but they DO NOT have to say where they are located. They could if they wanted install cameras in loos and changing rooms but most big stores wouldn't because of the bad publicity this would generate.

It is NOT illegal to make cameras with this capability as thats exactly how professional IR cameras work for the authorities such as the Police and Fire Departments. As someone has already poined out, these professional cameras have that ability and are not illegal. If you had the thousands they cost you could buy one yourself.

Seems a bit strange though that someone would really get a thrill out of seeing some small green pictures of a woman where you could hardly see anything anyway. Surely it's cheaper to buy a copy of Playboy !.

And finally.. a couple of airports in the US, and our very own Gatwick airport here in the UK, are testing an advanced body scanner that does exactly this. It is designed to see through layers of clothes to detect weapons and drugs, but it also has the ability to show the wearer naked. BAA have said they would ensure their employees act professionaly and that the system woud not be abused (yeah right!!). This was reported in a number of newspapers earlier this year and had the civil rights mob up in arms.

And if there are no laws prohibiting this, then even if the US does outlaw it we can still get on the internet and get pictures from the UK. In order for this to be completely outlawed, laws would have to be set up in every country in the world. This is one of the big problems on the internet because laws vary from country to country by great degrees. In some countries the age of 16 and below is considered underage while the US is 18 years old. How is the US going to stop someone from going to a site in a different country and viewing a girl 16 years old?

That's the least of our problems these days though. I'm a little more worried that if an armed robber breaks into my house, trips over my coffee table because it's dark and breaks his leg, he can sue me because he was injured on my property. It makes me sick. Do they have these same laws in the UK?

  4. That's what i was thinking about! there's a site that has girls my age(14,15,16; no less) doing naughty stuff on their webcams and that shit would be pedopheliac material since they're under 18, but since it's from out of the country, i guess that's why it's still up.. The US laws have way too many loop holes..

    it's all of them....*shudders*
i don't have that strong of an opinion on it, either. It wouldn't bother me if it was illegal or legal or moral or immoral, as long as i don't come across shit like kids younger than me and my mother or anything else like that....
(i do agree on many of the points you bring up..)
About the laws... i'll talk about those later, i'm sleepy.

A lot of guys like looking at high school girls or even pics that say the girls are in high school even though they are 18. Most of them are 18 because of legalities. Anyways, I can somewhat understand about underage girls in their teens because different countries have different age laws. But when you come across a picture of a very young child it's quite disturbing. At least the teens are old enough to know the what they are doing and the consequences involved. We all know that a lot of high school kids have sex. But when it's a young child, that child has no idea what's going on or even what sex is.

To even further the problem, pedophilia is a fetish. The difinition of fetish is "An abnormally obsessive preoccupation or attachment; a fixation". Consequences usually don't have an impact on people with a fetish. It takes therapy. The most difficult part about seeking therapy is admitting you have a problem.

I have a feeling that there will be sick f**ks around for a long time.

Sorry, I got way off topic on that one

I fully agree with you. A very young child doesn't know what they're doing,...i think that's the most disturbing thing ever that someone would want to see that for pleasure...

Actually, no, there's no way those girl are 18. I know what you're talking about, but these girls seriously do NOT look 18, but at least 14 or 15.(probably because they're not 18 )

I agree, some of the girls are under 18. I've seen some banners that had girls that were clearly under age (at least in this country). I want to make this clear to everyone that I don't go searching for the pictures. Banners pop up all over the place these days and it's inevitable that you come across them. Anyways, I see the pictures and I say to myself "damn, she looks pretty young, but if that's what she wants to do then that's her choice". On the other hand, I've come across pictures of kids and my first reaction is "f**k that's sick". My second reaction is "oh s**t, did I just get on the FBI's black list because some freak decided to slip in a picture of a naked kid when I was doing a legitimite search for something online?"

I'll definately check it out. Thanks. It's getting rediculous. The porno banners are bad enough (especially when you're at work) but everyone has them now. I use excite for my search engine and they have a pop-up banner. I hate the ones that continuously open banners when you close the original banner. The funny part is that a study was recently done and it was proven that internet advertising doesn't work well at all. Hopefully we won't see ads for much longer...especially pop-ups. I kind of wish that the internet goes back to being more of an informational and communication medium rather than an entertainment medium. If I want entertainment I can turn on my TV or radio.
