    Hi,
I've got two mpeg-files that don't want to play (in Windows Media Player) due to missing codec. I can't find _any_ info on which codec to use.
In addition to all WMP standard codecs I have the DivX 3.11alpha codec installed, but no luck.

Anyone have any idea why they won't play/where to find what codec I'm missing.

    thanx//hawke (feeling like a newbie)

Media player is by no means the best player anyway....
    Have you tried another player.
Try G Div X player, get it through
    ttp://www.divx-digest.com/software/gdivx_play.html

    Also try Xing MPEG Player
I often find that wrongly encoded files will only play through Xing.
