  1. I encoded a divx film to play on my dvd player yesterday and it worked fine.
    I did another today and i have picture but no sound why is this it did not happern yesterday.
    Any Ideas??

    This time, launch TMPGEnc and disable the wizard. Load your video, and select Load. Select the template for the video. Select Start. How did it turn out?

    Sometimes this is because you don’t have the audio codec, and installing the Nimo codec pack may cure this. Sometimes the audio is AC3, TMPGEnc will handle those audio types if you have the AC3 codec

    One other reason, in TMPGEnc, you may need to set the directshow priorities higher.

    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

    Finally, you may need to save out the audio in Vdub to be used later in TMPGEnc.
