  1. Hello, I'm new to this forum but figured I'd ask. I've been around encoding mpeg2 transport streams for a few years but new to dvd burning. Is there a relatively cheap authoring software out there that will let me burn an mpeg2 video file muxed with an 2 channel split ac3 audio file?

Basically the encoder I use muxes the 2 files together giving me a .ts. I can demux them hence creating an mtv video file and ac3 audio but can't seem to find an authoring program to handle the audio.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

Spruceup supports ac3 but it is discontinued but you can find a demo in our tools section.

i use a lot of transport mpeg - which is used for HD mpeg servers as well as sat feeds..

transport stream is not supported on dvd's directly .. but if you can de-mux them (there is are only few programs (software that is -- lots of hardware sollutions) that can demux a transport stream correctly and really only 1 REAL good muxer (http://www.lilapple.com/ Manzanita) you can as Baldrick says use Spruce-up , also Spruce Maestro , Pinnacle Impression DVD-Pro (the cheapest solution which supports ac3 5:1 i think) and Sonic Scenarist all support ac3 5:1 audio.
