I encoded an avi(a movie) in TMPGENC and the output file is over 1 GIG. If i would burn that it would take 2 CD's. How can i get that large mpeg to fit on one CD. Im a newbie so please be detailed.

I was just browsing and i saw your post, Im a newbie myself...But if I were you, I would use TMPGenc's bitrate calculator and adjust the bitrate to get the movie to a more manageable size. The calculator comes up when you bring up the wizard. Ctrl+W. Hope this helps...

Nah to compress too much of bitrate the quality of you mpeg will come out not so good. I would suggest to burn to 2 CDs, use TMPGEnc tool to cut that big file into 2 parts (each part have to be less than 800MB for 80mins CDR) then burn each part to CDR.
