  1. Hello again, just a few words to tell you people that i just succesfully copy a dvd into a VCD.
Using my stand alone Clairtone DVD player pluged to an ATI Wonder TV capture card i recorded the dvd into a AVI file, later on i re-encoded and compress it with TMPGEnc to finally burn my VCD with Nero, at this point i didn't wanna try making chapters or anything like that cuz was my first time
In conclussion it works fine and i tryed it on with my DVD player, the Panasonic RV-32 and a Pioneer wich a don't remember the model. So no need to have a DVD-Rom in your computer to do this job. Hope that helps.

  2. I did that before I got an old 10x dvd rom (for free)and I gotta tell you if I had known the movies looked so much better when you rip them from a rom than when you capture them I would have bought a rom years ago .
And Im not sure about your system but mine will rip dvds in the same time that it takes to watch a movie , well actually itakes about 3 hours for an hour and a half movie but thats converting the vob to svcd and the picture is flawless. So if you havent ripped from a rom or seen a rip from a rom the quality is light years above capturing it . I have the same cap card as you so I know the quality it produces.
