I've got a Series on VCD, which i want to convert to DivX5.02.
It's a VHS-Rip i did myself, and i ripped to Huffyuv, then converted to MPG. I deleted the huffyuv source cause i didn't expect to make another Conversion to DivX.
No i've burned the VCDs, and i have the mpg-FIles on my PC.
If i use Gordian Knot (or any other Calculator) to calculate the Bitrate for DivX5.02, i get 990 for an episode for example.
If I use VDub to convert the mpg to a 990kpbs DivX File, and add my audio (about 45MB since its 128kbps ABR), I'm terrified to see that my conversion was useless, as the Video-Data seems to be just about 80MB to small. A friend recommended to set the Maximum Quantizer to 6 or 7.
I tried that and one of the 6 files i have to convert got the size i needed, all the others still are much too small. I tried pulling the MQ to 4, but that didn't work out as well...
So, what can i do so the files will be the size i need? *sigh*
