rv31 service disc in rv32?

I have a panasonic rv32 and I need to disable macrovision. A friend has the service disc and codes for an rv31. Will it work? I'm loathe to just put the disc in and enter the codes in case it screws the machine up. thanks.

many of the tricks aplied to RV31 are also valid for RV32. I advise you to try the tricks you have on your RV32.
In case you make a wrong move try reseting your player with the RESET SWITCH trick recently posted in the PANASONIC RV32 hack page (on VCDHELP.com). The macrovision hack wasn't discovered yet, but I think the answer is on those service codes you got.
