  1. Hello,

I'm trying to create an audio CD (which can be
played on my Car CD player) from a bunch of mp3 files.
I use Niro 5.0 + and choose the Audio CD option,
drag and drop my files to the layout and try to create
the CD. (I've verified that there's enough room on the
    blank CD for the conversion).
I choose "Test & burn" option in Niro..and halfway thru
simulation it failes and ejects the blank CD.
Error message says "Simulation failed" and "Queuing
    Failed" but no other explanation.

Does anyone know what might be wrong here ??

    thx
    -termy

I've never used Nero to burn audio cd's, but I have a couple of suggestions that might help anyways. First, are the mp3 files on your hard disc or burned on a CDR? My computer has always crapped out when trying to burn from an archive cd in my other CD drive which is only a 24x... Also, what speed are you trying to burn at? My 8x4x32 drive will crap out if I burn an audio cd from mp3's at 8x... I've got to drop it down to 4x. That's okay though, because the Pioneer deck in my truck plays CD-RW's so I'm used to only burning at 4x Anyways, I hope that helps.

  3. ok, i am always making som mp3 cds in nero. i get this same error once ina while. never understood the reason. amybe a buffer under run or somethig. but anyways, if i do get that error, i click "write at once" and don't do any simulation or spped check. its done in like ten minutes or so, i burn slow, it gives a better play, and it works all the times. try that. if it doesn't work, cdr's are only 25 cents a piece anyways. good lcuk.

You may want to restart your computer before you start encoding. You May also want to disble some programs in your systems tray.

In addition to restarting your computer before you burn, I highly recommend making a Nero image file of your audio CD before you attempt the final burn. Nero, as long as I have known it, has problems doing certain operations "on the fly" directly to disc. Nero gets especially problematic in "on the fly" operations when you are normalizing your MP3s and/or applying bass-boost or treble-boost filters.

Burn an image first. Save yourself the headache (and another coaster).

  8. it can depend on how fast your processor is , and ram
what i usually do is ,,using nero 5.5 drag the mp s on to the hard drive from my cd archive then load them into nero
disc at once ,16x record ,never lose a disc but like i said it depends a lot on your processor. what have you got?
life is like a bed of roses ........
it s full of little pricks !!!!!!

  9. i know you said youre using nero, and i dont wanna be flamed for saying, but ive never had much luck burning audio disks with it. i use nero exclusively for vcd creation, and adaptec ez-cd 4+ for audio. ive found the on the fly encoding is better, and if you burn dao u dont lose the ends of songs. once in a while i will have to convert a song or two to wav because ez-cd wont recognize it, (only sees a few seconds of the song) i use winamp for that conversion.

when i have used nero to burn audio frm mp3s in the past i have had problems with the dao function, only giving me 1 long track, which is fine if i want to listen to the whole disk at a sitting, but sucks in the car! sooo.. unless you are totally anti-adaptec (i own the roxio crap they released, but i dont use it), give it a shot. record speed definitely has an impact on final quality, so tinker with that as well.. ive found a niche for all kinds of burning progs, and make use of them all.
