    Whatever happened to MPEG-3 video?
    MPEG-1 is VCD vid compression format, MPEG-2 is SVCD and CVD format and MPEG-4 is Divx, ASF/WMV format.
    But what is MPEG-3? Don't tell me MP3 audio, because that's really Mpeg1 layer 3.
    IS THERE AN MPEG-3?

    Mpeg-3 never got on track and was merged with Mpeg-2.
