    Help me, i dont no whats hapening, but when i try to convert the film "planet of apes, with the software DVDTOSVCD, apear everytimes one square with one producer or actor commentary.very strange. A friend tell me , this problem is a protection,,,,itīs true

  2. Your info on the problem is not very clear but it sounds like you are ripping the wrong audio track from the dvd. You probably have the track that has the directors/actors commentry on. You need to change the settings when ripping to specify the correct file. hope thats helpful

    I think is not a problem, i use the software DVDTOSVCD, so i dont have this option.The problem continue.

  4. Well it does sound as though when ripping you are geting the wrong audio track. You probably should try using smartripper and tmpgenc. I have ripped about 30 dvds using this method and not one problem on the rip. Some times the easiest way is not the best. I have never ran into any form of protection on dvd that smartripper could not get by.

In DVD2SVCD deselect the ripping option, rip using Smartripper, you will see that there are 2 Program chains/files (whatever they are called) very similar in length (1hr 55mins) or something like that you need to rip the smallest one, I think it's less than a minute shorter, and then use DVD2SVD to convert.

    This worked for me

  7. and do what panter says don't take the longest file cause this is the movie with some kind of man talking under it not the movie with actual sound so take not the longest but the one just a little bit less long...
