Hi all,
This is my first post, and thanks for a very usfull resource!
I have managed to convert a divx to mpeg, with some really good qualuty results, Thanks agin for the templates :P
However I wish to chop a 1.3Gb vcd into two smaller files, but have tried several programs that are recomended, but they lock up and fail.
I use XP, with 2GB processor and 1Gb 333DDR ram, what tool would you recomend.
Many thanks

Try Ulead video Studio. Load the dat file into it and split the video.
Hello. -
I had the same problem.
Use DVTool, it's available on the tools page on VCDHelp.
The split command works great. You can really fine tune the sizes.
hope it works

VCDCutter - locks up (may be user lack of intervention)
DVDTool: I am really thick and could not get any results
VirtualStudio: professional loocking and very easy!
Thank you for help :P -
You did try the cut command in TMPG right ? If not that shouldn't have a problem if it was the encoder you had no problem using to encode with.
