Hi, I used SmartRipper to rip 2 dvd's. But when I use PowerDVD to play them, using the new IFO file on the HDD it says "No compatible disc in D drive, please insert".
Also, if I try to convert it (using DVDX) halfway through it says "drive maybe locked, try playing with a dvd player like powerdvd" and stopped.
If I use powerdvd to play just the vob files they play fine, so im guessing the ifo must be pointing the software at the wrong location for the vob's, but as I'm fairly new to this I have no idea how to correct the problem.
Any help or advice u could give would be appreciated.
Thanks

anyone got an idea? please? i have tried moving the files into a directory called VIDEO_TS, as someone else posted that idea here, but it made no difference.
Thanks -
I don't think Smartripper makes "compatible" Ifo files. I assume your trying to play the DVD from the HD. Download IFOedit. Use it to create a new set of ifo's after you delete the ones Smartripper made. The ifo's that Ifoedit makes are compatible,I use all the time.
I would suggest you not use one of those all-in-one programs. Use DVD2AVI and Tmpeg, you'll be much happier with the results.
