  1. Can I render my avi file to an MPG file, then process the MPG file with vcdeasy to my hard drive, then drag these files to the burner? Or do I HAVE to burn directly to the burner with vcdeasy?
Last Question, what file extensions will be generated when I process the MPG file with vcdeasy?

    thanks for you help

  2. MPEG files have to be encoded before going into VCDEasy. If you don't want to burn with CDRDAO or whatever (which I don't), VCDEasy can produce a BIN file. You can burn the resulting BIN or CUE file with your preferred burning software.

  3. OK, i used studio 7 to capture from my CD video, then rendered that avi file to a VCD MPEG file. Then I used vcdeasy to convert the file. It produced a Bin, Cue and Html file. I then drug these to my burner. It didnt work. Do I have to process directly to the burner to make it work?

  4. You should burn the file with VCDEasy. If you use Nero, you would 'burn image'- and select the .bin file you created with vcdeasy.

  6. Yeah, you can save those BIN and CUE files for a rainy day, but you can't simply drag and drop your way to a VCD. The BIN file IS the CD. It's an image. Just as mentioned, you must burn the image.

I don't think you have so much a VCD problem, but a limited knowledge of your burning software. You can't drag and drop a VCD. You can't. You have to have very specific files and folders, usually produced by some type of VCD wizard (included with Nero, EZ CD, etc.) And since you're using VCDEasy, you have to figure out how to burn the image it creates. If you tell us what burning software you're using, someone might be able to tell you how.
