  1. Hello, i have a ATI radeon 7500 and windowsXP. when i run the multimedia center everything works fine except the Video in function. I have the latest video drivers, control panel drivers, and multimedia center program. I get an error that says that the Tv player failed to intalize the video player. I know that the cords are in the right place and such so it has to do with the computer, not the cords. Cause when my friend did it and no video cords were connected at all, the video in program started, it just didnt show anything.he has windows2000.Anyways i think it might be that i have XP or maybee i am missing something. If someone could help and tell me what the problem is and where i can download what i need, i would greatly apreciate it. [/list]

  2. The last few releases of ATI vid drivers do not include capture drivers (this makes for a smaller download for those that have a card that does not need them). You have to install the capture drivers separately, and the latest vid drivers need the latest cap ture drivers to operate correctly. Download the latest capture drivers (.6125 I believe) from the same ATI page where you got the vid drivers.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

The correct installation order on those drivers are:
    capture drivers first, no reboot
    display driver, reboot
    ATI control panel, reboot.

  5. I have two computers. When I got The AIW Radeon 7500 I took my old AIW Radeon and put it on my Celeron computer. I got the exact same error message as you. I looked around on the web and what I found was that my chipset (intel 810) will not allocate enough memory for video and thus will not work with AIW Radeon Cards. They are not configurable and there is no workaround. I don't understand the details and maybe I got it all wrong and someone can help out here but that is what I have found so far.

Is your computer a Celeron? Do you know what chipset you have?

Well I kept the card in the computer because I can still use guide plus to check tv listings when my other computer is busy. Strangely enough when I installed Pinnacle Studio 7 on the computer It showed the video in the capture screen (however when I tried to view the capture it was corrupt).
