I used VCDGear to convert a VCD DAT. format into a mpeg format.But it is too large for my hardisk.What format can I convert it into and how to make it smaller???

SAVE AVI
You now have a DivX AVI movie at the fraction of the size, and if the input quality is good, then the output will also be good.
If you just want another copy of the VCD, do a disk to disk copyor load .dat into any VCD authoring program
