    I've downloaded an avi off of kazaa --Now I want to burn it to a CD R to play in my DVD player. What do I need to do this? Any help or words or advice would greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    use sefy's classical guide to DVD -> VCD creation.

    instead of beginning at the start of the FAQ, use the .avi as the input in tmpgenc (instead of the 2dv) and go from there.
